INTRODUCTION
To prepare each officer cadet as a confident military leader, BMA has attempted to provide academic training to the cadets in harmony with the 'National Education Policy 2010'. In coherence with the rapid development in modern science and technology and the changed battlefield scenario, officer cadets are offered with four years academic programme in B.Sc. Engineering alongside the military training.
The objective of four years academic programme in B.Sc. Engineering is to educate each officer cadet as a knowledgeable graduate. In coordination with the military training, the academic programme develops officer cadets as professionals who will nurture their competence and character to act decisively on matters of concern to the armed forces as well as to the nation.
OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE OF ACADEMIC PROGRAM
The objective of four years academic program in B.Sc. Engineering is to educate each Officer Cadet as a knowledgeable graduate. Therefore, the purpose of the academic program is to provide the Officer Cadets with intellectual foundation for serving as well-educated commissioned officers who possess the knowledge and skills necessary for their continued professional development. In coordination with the military training, the academic program develops Officer Cadets as professionals who will nurture their competence, character and confidence to act decisively on matters of concern to the armed forces as well as to the nation. Therefore, the objectives of the four years academic program in B.Sc. Engineering is as follows:
- To provide each Officer Cadet a comprehensive education
and capability to conduct research in diverse disciplines of science,
engineering, technology, and engineering management.
- Produce technologically advanced intellectual military leaders
with high moral and ethical values to meet the socio-economic development
of Bangladesh and global needs.
- To educate each Officer Cadet as a knowledgeable
university graduate with inspiration to pursuit higher studies.
