The grand and colorful President Parade of 86th BMA Long Course was held on June 6, 2024, at  Bangladesh Military Academy in Bhatiary, Chattogram. General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed, SBP (BAR), OSP, ndu, psc, PhD, the Chief of the Army Staff of Bangladesh Army, reviewed the parade as the Chief Guest. A total of 181 officer cadets, including one foreign cadet from Sri Lanka, were commissioned from this renowned military academy.

The respected Chief Guest was received at the Parade Ground by General Officer Commanding, Army Training and Doctrine Command, Lieutenant General Ahmed Tabrej Shams Chowdhury, SBP, BSP, ndc, psc, MPhil, General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Chattogram Area, Major General  Md Mainur Rahman, SUP, awc, psc and Commandant, Bangladesh Military Academy Major General Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid, ndc, afwc, psc.

High-ranking military and civil government officials, local elites, and the guardians of the newly commissioned officers attended the event and witnessed the spectacular and impeccably turned-out parade of 86th BMA Long Course from the gallery.

The Chief Guest took the salute of the parade and presented the prestigious 'Sword of Honour' for all-around performance to Battalion Senior Under Officer (BSUO) Md. Parvez Ahmmed Joy. He was also awarded the 'Chief of Army Staff (CAS) Gold Medal' for his outstanding performance in military subjects.
