The President Parade on the grand occasion of commissioning of the officer cadets of 83 BMA Long Course was held at Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), Bhatiary, Chattogram on 04 December 2022. The Honourable Prime Minister of the Peoples' Republic of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, reviewed the smartly turned out contingent and took the salute of the colourful parade as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest handed over the most prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ for the all-round performance and the ‘Chief of Army Staff' (CAS) Gold Medal’ for the best performance in military subjects to the award-winning cadets, Battalion Senior Under Officer Labib Zohayer Nur Anan and Company Senior Under Officer S M Jahirul Islam respectively.

The passed-out cadets formally took oath to serve the nation in presence of the Honourable Chief Guest. After the parade, the Piping Ceremony took place where the passed-outcadets were adorned with the badges of rank by the Honourable Chief Guest, other officials and respective guardians.

The General Officer Commanding, Army Training and Doctrine Command, Lieutenant General Ahmed Tabrej Shams Chowdhury, SBP, BSP, ndc, psc, M Phil, General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Chattogram Area, Major General Mizanur Rahman Shameem, BP, OSP, ndc, psc and Commandant, Bangladesh Military Academy, Major General S M Kamrul Hassan, ndc, hdmc, psc, PhD received the Honourable Chief Guest on her gracious arrival at the BMA Parade Ground.

The spectacular and colourful parade was witnessed by the high-ranking military and other senior government officials, local elites and guardians of the newly commissioned officers.
