An elementary drill competition is a type of event where young 1st term cadets compete in a drill competition. It involves synchronized marching, formation changes, and various other movements. In this competition, the cadets usually perform a set of routine display in front of panel of judges who evaluate them on their precision, timing, turn-out and overall performance. The purpose of this competition is to teach the cadets discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail. It also allows them to showcase their skills against other platoons. In addition to the competitive aspect, cadets learn about military history, tradition, and customs while also developing important skills such as leadership, communication, and perseverance. However, in this summer term-2023, the cadets of M-1(A) of 89 BMA Long Course showed an outstanding performance and won the inter company elementary drill competition that ended on 03 May 2023.Dean FBSS Brigadier General Omar Faruque Khan, psc, was present on the final day of the competition as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
