On May 14, 2024, Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from the Sri Lanka Armed Forces. Led by B.K.G.M.L. Rodrigo RSP, psc IG (Comdt DSCSC, SL), the delegation consisted of nine members, including one Major General, two Brigadier Generals, one Colonel, and five Lieutenant Colonels.
The head of the delegation paid a courtesy call to Major General Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid, ndc, afwc, psc, Commandant, Bangladesh Military Academy. Subsequently, a comprehensive briefing session was conducted for all delegation members, fostering an exchange of perspectives.
Throughout the day-long visit, discussions and inquiries centered around the training of overseas cadets at BMA. The delegation was given guided tours of various training and administrative facilities, including the Language Lab, physical training facilities, weapon training facilities, horse riding school, and cadets' dormitory. BMA hosted a luncheon and souvenir handover session in honor of the Sri Lankan Delegation.
Deputy Commandant of BMA, Abul Hasnat Mohammad Tariq, ndu, afwc, psc, accompanied the delegation, providing them with detailed insights into BMA. The visit undoubtedly left a positive impression on the delegation, who expressed their satisfaction at experiencing one of the finest military academies like BMA.
